As times get tough for more and more Australian families, the need for Barnardos Australia to provide assistance has never been greater. They are seeing a sharp increase in demand for support as the surging cost of living and shortage of affordable housing is making it very difficult for single-parent families, or those with a single income to keep a roof over their heads and to put food on the table.
Barnardos Australia is a registered charity that works to end child abuse and neglect by supporting families to keep children and young people safe at home. They deliver outstanding services to our community through their centres across NSW and the ACT, to ensure struggling families receive the right support when they need it most.
To help support the vital work of Barnardos Australia and to help reach more families in need, Australian Mutual Bank is providing a safe space for an emergency relief pantry. Members of the community can visit any Australian Mutual Bank branch and drop off donations at the designated area.
If you would like to help, please bring as little or as much as you can from the following items:
- Canned food (soups, meals, vegetables, fruit)
- Cooking supplies like oil and sugar
- Pasta, rice, and noodles
- Tea and coffee
- Personal hygiene items
- Household cleaning items
- Pet food
Please note: donations must be in their original packaging, unopened, and within their best before date.
All items will be distributed directly to Barnardos families.
