Staff from Australian Mutual Bank volunteer at the 2023 Christmas in Pyrmont festive fair to help spread Christmas cheer to the local community.
Christmas in Pyrmont is an annual festival which sees the streets of Pyrmont come alive to celebrate Christmas and raise funds and awareness for local charities – including Barnardos Australia, a charity close to the hearts of Australian Mutual Bank staff. The event itself is a wonderful community celebration that welcomes everyone to attend and enjoy the amazing food stalls and markets, watch live music and performances, and participate in a great range of children’s arts and crafts, games, and other fun activities.
This year, Marc and Therese from Australian Mutual Bank attended the event held on 26th November to volunteer and provide additional support to Barnardos Australia. Marc was given the important responsibility of assisting Santa and was assigned as his official helper!
The team at Barnardos managed the fun in the kids’ activity hall, with lots of festive arts and crafts available for local children to enjoy. Both Therese and Marc thoroughly enjoyed helping to decorate the activity hall with both having an attempt at decorating and creating some fun festive crafts. Children on the day also wandered through the activity hall to have their face painted or receive a balloon animal from Therese.
Overall the event was a huge success and both Marc and Therese enjoyed the opportunity to give back to the community and support the valuable work of Barnardos.
